Cala Seimh Holiday Cottage is the perfect place for a holiday. As the well-known song goes, arriving on Islay means “Goodbye to Care”.

Situated in a prime position on Shore Street in the centre of this friendly village, Cala Seimh (pronounced Cala Shèiv) is a comfortable and practical house which makes an ideal base for exploring the lovely island of Islay. The house is self-catering and boasts a very well-equipped large kitchen-diner, but for those who prefer to eat out there are lots of possibilities, not least in Port Charlotte itself.

The house has a wonderful aspect on to the sea situated as it is on the edge of Lochindaal. You’ll enjoy watching the sun rise over the Paps of Jura, and the beautiful sunsets, with the clouds and the hills across the Loch iridescent in the reflected glow of the setting sun.

The magnificent atlantic beaches of the Rhinns are all easily accessible by car or bicycle, while the more sheltered beaches on Lochindaal are within walking distance. For nature lovers, walkers, bird-watchers, fishers, golfers, whisky-buffs, those interested in celtic history and those who just want to “:get away from it all” this is the perfect place for a holiday.
