About Port Charlotte:
Port Charlotte is a conservation area and the village is a key example of an early nineteenth century planned settlement.
Today the village offers many amenities : you can fish or go boating on pier, visit the Museum of Islay Life and the Natural History Centre, and eat out at Yan’s Kitchen or The Port Charlotte and Lochindaal Hotels. Port Mor, south of the village, offers teas, coffees and lunches as well as a good playground for children.
